Your taxes will be billed out the last week of July
You may take a 2% discount on your taxes if paid (or postmarked) by August 31,
taxes are due by September 1, and are payable at par until January 5,
On January 6, , the taxes are considered delinquent; taxes will accrue 2% interest and are immediately subject to collection remedies including garnishment of wages, seizure of bank accounts and/or foreclosure.
- Interest is accrued every month thereafter at % until paid in full.
- delinquent taxes will be advertised during the month of March per North Carolina General Statutes.
- Installment payments are accepted on tax accounts if unable to pay in lump sum. However, to avoid collection action, taxes must be paid in full before January 5th of each year.
